Finding Friedell...

We know we're nestled snuggly between Denny's, Libby's canning factory, and the intersection of two busy highways, but who are we?  What do we stand for? What are we striving for?  How do we improve?

It's through exploration, learning, collaboration, reflection, and sharing that we can truly answer these questions.  As we head off into summer break, we thought a blog would be the perfect platform for our staff to express and reflect on the mile-markers we have reached on our path to finding Friedell. The purpose of the blog is to create a collaborative format in which we can reflect upon how we can improve.

Please contribute to this blog.  We need everyone's perspectives, ideas, and insights as we begin the journey to finding Friedell.  Join us by sharing your mile-markers on this site via blogging, vlogging, pictures, links, videos, or whatever means best communicates your point. Here are some of the stops you may want to share as you venture down the path to finding Friedell:

  • books you've read (Don't forget to check out the Friedell Book Swap!)
  • ideas you're wrestling with
  • article(s) that have you wondering
  • conferences or workshops you've attended
  • videos you've watched
  • experiences you've had
  • anything that's moved you to question, reflect upon, or change your practices

Our hope is that even though we are not all experiencing the same things, we can still learn from others' experiences.  You can do this by responding to others' ideas, asking questions of them, or sending your own ideas out.

Just today a teacher overheard one student say to another, "I love it when things make you think."  What better reason do we need to launch us on this adventure?
